I've contacted an Architect and have started the addition process. I'm thinking about being my own contractor. I've even thought about getting my contractors license just for this project. I might as well put all that math I learned to use finally. Last Monday I bought a home design software package and made a cool copy of my plans. I'm hoping that the more info I get for the Architect, the less it will cost. His initial price is $2700.00 for building plans and energy rating tests.
